I am a clinical psychologist (PhD) and a full-time research assistant in the Department of Psychology at Dokuz Eylul University.
I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Hacettepe University in 2011 and completed a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology at Abant İzzet Baysal University. My research during this period focused on grief stages and post-traumatic growth in individuals coping with significant losses. As part of my doctoral dissertation, I developed a program called "Grief Therapy," an internet-based intervention designed to address prolonged grief.
Since 2018, I have been serving as a board member of the Turkish Psychological Association 's Izmir Branch. I am also actively engaged in the activities of the TPD İzmir Trauma, Disaster, and Crisis Unit. My areas of interest include grief stages, traumatic loss experiences, post-traumatic growth, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, alcohol and substance dependence, as well as cognitive behavioral therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy, particularly in the context of online psychotherapies.
